A Game-Changer for Multi-Bike Maintenance
As someone who maintains and rides a variety of trail & adventure bikes - currently; Honda CRF300L, Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid, and BMW R1200GS - having a toolkit that's versatile, reliable, and genuinely built for the task is crucial. The SBVTool kit has impressed me from the start.
What stands out most is the build quality. Every tool feels solid in the hand, well-machined, and engineered with real-world use in mind. The compact roll-up design is deceptively spacious and carrying everything I need without taking up too much room in my luggage or is compact enough to be carried in a bum bag. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into making it portable without sacrificing usability.
The inclusion of model-specific add-ons is a brilliant touch. I've used the kit across all three bikes, and it hasn't let me down. Whether it's trail-side adjustments on the CRF, mid-ride tweaks on the T7, or garage maintenance on the GS, the tools have performed without compromise.
Having used a fair few other toolkits over the years and usually building up my own bike specific kit to carry, I can confidently say SBVTools have struck the right balance between pro-level quality and trail-friendly portability. It's now a permanent part of my setup, and one I'd recommend to any serious rider.

Ik heb door de jaren heen al heel wat verschillende tools gebruikt—van goedkope rommel die na één klus al op was, tot dure merken waar je vooral voor de naam betaalt. Maar SBV Tools? Die zitten precies goed: degelijke kwaliteit, slim ontworpen én eerlijk geprijsd.

Wat me meteen opviel, is hoe doordacht alles in elkaar zit. Je merkt gewoon dat deze tools gemaakt zijn door mensen die ze zelf gebruiken. Vooral die compacte tool rolls zijn echt geniaal voor op reis of tijdens motorritten. Alles heeft z’n vaste plek, niks rammelt, en je sleept niet onnodig gewicht of spullen mee die je toch niet gebruikt. Het is het soort gereedschap waar je op kunt vertrouwen—zeker als je ver van huis bent.

Ik gebruik hun motor-specifieke toolkit nu al een tijdje en ik denk er niet eens meer over na. Alles wat ik nodig heb, zit erin en het werkt gewoon goed. De sleutels voelen stevig aan, de doppen slijten niet, en zelfs het etui is super stevig. Ik heb het al laten vallen, het heeft regen gezien, is meerdere keren in zijkoffers gepropt, en het ziet er nog steeds uit als nieuw.

Als je op reis gaat met de motor, graag zelf sleutelt, of gewoon tools zoekt die je niet laten zitten als het erop aankomt—check SBV Tools. Het is van dat gereedschap dat je vertrouwen geeft, zelfs als je gewoon in je garage aan het prutsen bent.

I don't write reviews often, but I had to share this for my fellow riders. The SBVTools BMW tool set is a game changer, light, compact, and top-quality. At just 5.5", it replaced my old 11" tool set while offering 30% more functionality. It even fits perfectly in my Wunderlich toolbox, along with my small compressor and tire repair kit! The tool selection is spot on. I once had dust block my bike's start switch, and thanks to the long T9 bit, I fixed it on the spot. many say T8, but it's T9. SBVTools gets these details right, even including a T60 for the gear lever and an H12 for my R1300GS front axle. The MIT sockets are brilliant. I used the 6mm socket labeled E8 for my R1200GS gear lever, and it worked perfectly. This set is compact yet incredibly versatile. It's perfect for BMW riders who want a high-quality, space-saving tool kit that truly covers everything needed on the road.

I've built many tool sets for my BMW's, KTM's and Yamaha toys over the years. Finding the right mix of tools and then tool rolls or pouches is always a challenge, but I get excited when I find one new socket, wrench or widget that is smaller, stronger, better functioning, etc. Further, when possible, unless it's a full on rebuild, I try to make both shop and field repairs with my tool roll to make sure that, if I need to do something similar in the field, I know I have the right tools with me.

This SBV Tools roll has replaced everything I've spent years thinking I was the best gatherer in finding. These quality tools are well thought out with multiple use scenarios, comprehensive, strong, clean and surprisingly light. The tool roll is a phenomenal piece of kit that keeps it all tight and tidy. That last piece can't be emphasized enough and you know what I mean if you have ever tried to fit out all your tools in a KLIM or any other similar or generic tool roll. This one is made to fit each individual piece and tool, which also makes it easy to make sure nothing gets left behind on the trail. The hanging feature also makes sure it's out of the dirt and mud and parts and pieces that you are working on and with.

Lastly, if you are in the market for torque wrenches or you're just tired of trying to find the right 1/4", 3/8" or 1/2" wrench to match your torque setting, this tool is amazing. The ability to set torque from 0 inch-pounds all the way to 150 foot-pounds with one easily portable tool means that I'm regularly setting things to spec rather than just guessing with the "gutt'n-tite" method.

When you back this utility with support resources that responds even when they are on vacation, half way around the world, I can honestly say that this is money spent that I will never question!! 5+ stars!!

I have to say, I was convinced by a friend to get this Pro set, and it's even better than they described! The 3-in-1 tool is super compact and convenient, making it easy to fit new accessories on my R1250 GS. The 3/8" digital torque adapter is a game changer, now I can follow the exact torque specs from the manuals for the accessories I’ve installed. I love working with these tools, they make the job so much easier and precise!

With this set, I made it all the way back home to Florida. I had to change my wheels along the way and used the set with the torque adapter, which we had pre-set, making it super fast and easy to use. The best ever tool kit. I tried for years making my own, spent many time and money to buy several tools that I did not needed.
Here I have everything in one little package compare to my own tool kit that weight over 5 kgs... SBV has more and only weight 2.4 kgs. TOOL SET:
I've purchased BMW SBV tool bag to make sure I have all required tools for some upgrades and addons I wanted to install on my R1200GSA. Package arrived next day from Belgium to Croatia. Wow. Tool bag came into a protective sleeve which is a great way to protect it on trips.

I'm impressed how complete and versatile this set is, quality of materials and craftsmanship are top notch and it doesn't weight a ton. I did a complete makeover of my bike using only this tool set although I have a well equipped garage. Unrolling the bag became a small ritual to me.

I recommend this tool set to anyone who embarks on multi-day trips, no more "what if..." scenarios. Well done SBV Tools!!

TORQUE ADAPTER:
I'm very meticulous about my bike and everything has to be by-the-book. This adapter allows me to carry it in tool bag and apply right torque on road as well as in workshop. It came in nice protective case. It requires some learning curve but after a few minutes you are a pro. Memories for often used torques are a big plus. Another well made product by SBV tools.

Revue du produit à la livraison. Ca sent le bon matos sur lequel on peut compter dans la galère. Le set est bien pensé pour une BMW, cool ! Reste à essayer en mode galère, mais en mode entretien à la maison ca le fait déjà.
La boite sent le pro à plein nez et l'expérience de folie. Je pensais qu'il manquait la clé de 19, mais non elle a était retiré du set 2023 à la demande des clients qui ont expliqué à Thierry (the big boss) qu'elle ne servait à rien, et il l'a remplacé par 3 autres outils plus petits et pratiques, qui permettent d'alléger le set qui plus est !
Cette boite est à l'écoute de ses clients, car aussitôt mon mail envoyé, j'avais déjà 3 appels en absence sur mon phone, ce qui m'a incité à rappeler, car je me suis dit que si on cherche à me joindre aussi vite, soit c'est un vendeur compulsif qui cherche à faire que du chiffre (ce que l'on voit tout le temps) ou alors c'est un pro qui se souci tout simplement de ses clients (le truc rare de nos jours). Et bin dans le mille, Thierry à décroché et on a passé 20 minutes à bavarder entre passionné. Ca c’est cool de voir des fournisseurs qui s’impliquent au delà de la vente…. C’est un gage de qualité aujourd'hui, ou pas grand monde s’y aventure de nos jours. Mais je suis persuadé et reste optimiste en voyant cela, que la qualité de services c'est l’avenir pour sortir de cette conjoncture économique si particulière et difficile. Ne changer rien SBVtools et surtout continuez ainsi. Les baroudeurs en herbe ou pas, passionnés en recherche d'aventure et de l'envie de vivre la liberté qui s'efface peu peu dans nos quotidiens en ont bien besoin. See you later.

Bottom line up front, if any are hesitant about purchasing SBV Tools, don't be. The quality, functionality, multiple application of these kits is amazing. I've been using a DIY kit I assembled mostly from a local Freight store and big box hardware suppliers and I became overly frustrated having to replace broken bits, pieces, and parts over the years when working on my bike. This problem is no longer. In my quest for the most versatile, reliable, and complete kit while keeping the size and weight down, I discovered SBV. I evaluated and compared SBV to Motohansa, Cruz Tools, Stockton, Bike Master, and Motion Pro. For the BMW R1250GS (or any BMW for that matter), SBV earned my vote by a wide margin! They do make kits for many other bikes with specific applications to fit your needs. The closest competitor I found in comparison is the Motohansa kit, but what stood out for me was the integration, expandability and overall function of the SBV kit, making it in my opinion, a better overall value. And with a lifetime warranty, I felt confident in my purchase. I opted to add the digital torque tool (#52295 for $99) as well which requires no proprietary ratchet and covers a range from 4Nm to 203Nm and comes in a nice, compact protective case. It even includes an adapter making it compatible with any 1/4'' or 3/8'' drive breaker bar or ratchet to use it. It seems to be very accurate with far more range of torque, better than my garage kept tool that has the clicker indicator and cannot handle the lower torque specs.
The SBV BMW kit (#52502) includes two pieces, again making it highly versatile depending on user's desire, riding needs, and weight considerations. Although some references reflect the weight at well over 6 lbs., that's not what I found. When placing both pieces, loaded as received, on the scales in their respective pouches, it was a mere 5.4 lbs. total. That saved me 2.5 lbs. less than my makeshift DIY kit. Additionally, the dimensions were equally impressive at 10.5 long and rolled down to 5 diameter (again, this included both pieces). SBV also included metal snaps to affix them if opting to carry them together with a robust 1.5 wide Velcro strap to cinch it tight. There is some space within should you want to add other items.
SBV recently partnered with BeemerShop, Inc. in Scotts Valley, CA as the first U.S. distributor. This family-owned business is also another with whom I'll be doing future business; highly responsive, great customer service! Thank you, Ted Porter.
